Look in the Right Direction

01 Oct

I have read so many good posts today.  All of which have led to the culmination of this post.  Before I get started here is the list of these talented authors and the articles which I read.

Adversity sneaks up on you when you least expect it.  You are trucking along down your road of life, everything is going really well.  Then, all of a sudden the lights go out on you.  You scramble to find your footing.  After all of the chaos is over with, you look up and see a brick wall that is so tall that there is no way for you to climb over it.  I believe that God does this all for a reason.  I am not going to go and quote any bible verses because frankly I really do not know that many.  Learning from all that I experienced this far in life,is that God is and always will be there for you.  He has plans to strengthen you and to help you prosper.  So if you have stumbled upon this big brick wall and you do not know how you are going to get over it.  Try looking in the right direction, you will see that the ladder is right in front of you.

Thank you Jeffrey. Sometimes I stare the solution right in the face, but because I presumed the problem to be very big, I assume the solution must come in a big way too. Thank you for the reminder. Yes, God will always be there for us. I am so grateful for that. 🙂

Said with “child-like” faith; the best kind. Inspiring message, Jeffrey.

Hi Jeffrey thank you for sharing your thoughts, it’s good to ponder on the things of God, His Truth brings freedom.

The Scriptures tell us to say that God does evil to bring good out of it is Slander because God can do no evil but as we know He does bring good out of evil and sometimes what we consider evil is really His Love shown in compassion and protection, we see this with Noah’s Ark and the great flood.

Jeffrey, thanks so much! God bless you! Adversity is put before us for a purpose — of this I am absolutely certain. Everything — I mean everything — that happens to us is ultimately for our benefit and for the benefit of someone else. Many times, we don’t know what those benefits are, but God does! And since He is perfect, what have we to worry over? Nothing. Again, you are so kind to mention me in your post. Thanks again. Carley

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God… He does not grow tired or weary; and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak… Those who hope in the Lord renew their strength. They soar on wings like eagles; they run and do not grow weary, they walk and do not faint.” (Isaiah 40:28-31, NIV)

I hope you don’t mind me sharing again Jeffrey but I was pondering again after reading a few messages and posts, on what God tells us in 1 Corinthians 2….Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with Spiritual.

How wonderful that we are now under the new Covenant in Christ Jesus and in Him we have His mind and so are no longer in darkness but have His Light because His is The Light and He has said Luke 12:2-4 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

    Christian Love Anne.

I totally agree with you. We can’t escape huge obstacles in life. they come to all of us and we can either learn from them or allow ourselves to be destroyed by them. God is always there to help those who ask for His help.

    God bless.

    Jeffrey,
Reading my earlier reply, I sound unfeeling [ to myself anyway ] — of course, the adversity which has come your way is extraordinarily overwhelming — I just want you to know that I do feel for you and yours!
What a horrible loss to go through.
God give you His strength – always!
