(16) “If you obey the commands of the Lord your God, which I give you today, if you love him, obey him, and keep all his laws, then you will prosper and become a nation of many people. The Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are about to occupy.”

(15)”Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.” (16)”For everything in the world – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – comes not from the Father but from the world.”
24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tounges, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.
You know by reading through this passage a few times I cannot help but to think of the young and carefree spirit of children. I think that if anyone was to have a hard time understanding this scripture, that would be the answer. Think of a precious child.
17 Whoever loves pleasure will be a poor man; he who loves wine and oil will not be rich.
9 The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but he loves him who pursues righteousness.
